The Gualandians of the Little mission for the deaf have been present in Brazil since the early 1970s with the arrival of the first nuns on the South American continent. In 1984, on May 26, the seminary was inaugurated, a formation house and novitiate in the city of Londrina-PR.
Since then, our congregation has been carrying out a beautiful work of evangelization and social promotion of the deaf in Brazil. With more than 30 years of missionary presence in Londrina, the Fathers and religious of the PMS see increasingly expanding the service to the deaf. Since 2015, the PMS-Brasil has been committed to building the First Church totally dedicated to the deaf faithful in Brazil. With this, human and social promotion and the evangelization of deaf people on Brazilian soil will be expanded.
