The history of the PMS in Butembo
Butembo is a city of more than 1,000,000 inhabitants. The population lives on agriculture and small businesses. The fathers of the PMS arrived in Butembo in 2014 with the aim of educating and evangelizing deaf people according to the spirit of our founder Joseph Gualandi. We have a religious house in which we have 15 members including 13 students in philosophy and 2 priests.

As an apostolate, we mentor deaf people who are considered marginalized in our society. As a result of our founding father, we have the duty of teaching to evangelize them according to our charism. We started a parish OUR LADY OF SILENCE created in 2015 in which we prepare them for the sacraments. We have a project to build a school for the deaf to fulfill the dream of the founder: to teach to evangelize.
